7 Jun 2009Knowing London for a very long time now, we have never been to this first floor café in Neals Yard near Covent Garden. We always wanted to check out the food and café and so we did last May.
It’s a lovely, little café which serves fresh and organic foods made from lovely recipes from all around the world. We had the humous and bread, a coffee and an freshly squeezed apple and orange juice.
The food was as fabulous as the juices!
We enjoyed our short break in the early afternoon at this lovely place and felt refreshed and happy when we left.

7 Jun 2009Every time we spend some time or at least a weekend in Glasgow we stay with Angus, at his gorgeous Victorian bed and breakfast in glorious Dennistoun. The rooms are big, some with ensuite, the breakfast is filling and good, you can choose the day before what you would like to eat the following morning. Angus is very helpful and provides you with all the information you will need about Glasgow and its surroundings. Very comfy place and at very reasonable rates, too! Three and a half stars for Angus and his B+B
Charlie’s, formerly known as “Lazy days” is in the middle of The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea or better known as Portobello area. We used to go there for a delicious Cappuccino and Croissant; you will find the same choice at the new owner Charlie, even the same, a bit oldfashioned, but beautiful interieur
and bathrooms..
The Cappuccino is still delicious and so are the Croissants which we had in the cafés courtyards, but we missed a bit of the former atmosphere of good old Lazy days..

2 Jun 2009We came across this little gem of a deli-café in the middle of tiny Beauly. Shattered from the long journey we opted for a good and strong cup of coffee..which turned out to be more than delicious!
Furthermore, if you are a person who is always up for a nice bar of choc you won’t be disappointed, we bought a decent mint-choc-bar.
Heaven!

19 Apr 2009After this after-hour celebration by Master HJ we felt this unstoppable yearning for the oldfashioned Fotoautomat, the last one of his kind standing firm on the stormy grounds of progressive Zurich…and we blipped us four times for good! Such an effort brings a second yearning to your stomach the one for delicious foods and drinks!
No sooner said than done, we came across this fabulous Italian inn, deli or whatever you would call it, a gorgeous place to be, with nice folks and waiters and…a fab cook!
After a delicously comforting soup and bread, Cappuccino ( we even had two of them..)and rubarb cake we paid, got weighted, yes, you wouldnt believe it, there are scales right at the entrance! we left quite happily carrying a couple of pounds more, but refreshed and happy at the same time!
Thumbs up, just the place to be on an early Sunday afternoon!
